Broome Time

This time piece has taken inspiration from the red pindan land of the Kimberley, Western Australia. Vibrant warm tones contrast with the aqua water which surround the many mangrove systems.

This piece was made during Western Australia's wet season, a time when only the true locals brave the heat and humidity of the Northern end. Rain fall washes the red soil down the cliff faces and over the beach to mix with the bright blue shore.

Hand sculpted, each point of the red cliffs align with the numbers of a clock (6 O'clock to 12 O'clock). The red cliffs and water both flow over the edges of the clock to create a frameless 3 dimensional functional art piece.
