Broome's Roebuck Bay depicted on curly WA Jarrah.
When creating this piece, I use anything and everything I could get my hands on to create the right colours and textures. I built and sculpted the cliffs with clay and pindan from the North West. I layered the beach with sand and painted each detail with acrylic. I then use resin with dyes, powders and pastes along with my mangrove mix and some natural stone.
The resin reflects light just like water, so the colours and mood will change throughout the day just as it would if you were sitting on this beach.
